"Iran Today" Conference (April 26th 2008)

On Saturday April 26, 2008 the Center for Middle Eastern Studies at Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey, will be hosting a conference on the topic of "Iran Today" in the Busch Student Center Multipurpose Room, at 604 Bartholomew Rd., Piscataway, NJ 08854-8002.

The conference will consist of four sessions on the following topics: Iranian Identity, Iranian Arts and Literature, Iranian Society and Human Rights and Iran in the Middle East.

The conference will be followed by a dinner and cultural event, including a performance by Iranian musicians.  The speakers include some of the most prominent names in the field of Iranian Studies.

The lecture sessions of the conference are free and open to the public, but you are strongly encouraged to register in advance. The cost of attending the dinner and cultural event is $50.00, and you must register in advance to secure a spot as seating is limited.
